This CD has been compiled from recordings made between 1993 - 99 by Royal Marines' bands, under the direction of Major John Perkins, to raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. The selection of music was made by Brian Williams, the Chairman of the RNLI Music Division, who has been responsible for raising well over £100,000 for the RNLI in recent years from sales of these most popular recordings.
